Job summary

The City of Tolleson is seeking a Maintenance Technician II - Streets to perform semi-skilled to skilled repairs on public right-of-way infrastructure. Responsibilities include operating heavy equipment, inspecting and diagnosing issues, and maintaining streets, sidewalks, and related property while documenting all work.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, two years of related experience, and a valid CDL with Airbrake endorsements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; two years of work experience or equivalent.
• CDL Class A or B with Airbrake endorsements required at time of hire.
• Traffic Control Certification and Pesticide Applicator Certification highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on public right-of-way infrastructure; inspect and diagnose issues.
• Operate heavy equipment and vehicles safely.
• Set up traffic control signs and barricades for work zones.
• Document work in logs, reports, and records.
• Prioritize work orders and coordinate activities with the team.
