Job summary

City of Mission Texas is seeking a reliable equipment operator to manage heavy wheel/track machines on city streets and drainage projects. You will perform routine maintenance and follow safety procedures, with on-call duties during nights, weekends and emergencies.

Required: high school diploma or GED, two years' equipment experience, valid class B license, ability to read maps and maintain records, and strong communication with the public and crews.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 years experience operating light equipment in streets/storm drainage.
• Background check and pre-placement screenings required.

Responsibilities

• Operate city-owned heavy wheel/track equipment up to 8 hours daily.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• On-call nights, weekends, holidays; respond to emergencies.
• Record daily equipment usage and hours.
