Job summary

The City of Missouri City is seeking three dependable Street Tech II to join the Public Works Department and support the maintenance of city streets and drainage infrastructure. This full-time role requires operating heavy equipment and coordinating tasks within the Streets Division.

Reporting to the Streets Superintendent, the successful candidates will perform a wide range of duties, including repairs, drainage work, traffic support, and emergency response during incidents or disasters.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of relevant professional experience.
• At least 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Repair concrete pavement, patch potholes, lay asphalt, repair ramps and curbs.
• Install and maintain drainage infrastructure and inlets.
• Operate and maintain heavy equipment including street sweepers and backhoes.
• Assist with traffic signal repairs, pavement markings, and sign installations.
• Support emergency responses and disaster recovery efforts.
• Be subject to 24-hour recall as required.
