The Town of Brookline Department of Public Works is seeking a dependable Street Sweeper Operator to join the Highway and Sanitation Division on the overnight shift. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience operating heavy trucks and equipment (sweepers preferred).
• Experience with snow and ice operations is a plus.
• Valid Massachusetts CDL, Class B required.
• Valid MA Hoisting Engineer's License required.
• Strong attention to safety and ability to work independently overnight.

Responsibilities

• Operate street sweepers to clean town streets and roadways during overnight hours.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections of the street sweeper and related equipment.
• Assist with other roadway and sanitation-related tasks as needed.
• Support emergency operations, including snow and ice response, as required.
• Maintain accurate logs of work performed and equipment usage.

Hourly Rate: $28.86 + $15 night differential per shift
