Job summary

The Town of Brookline seeks a dependable Street Sweeper Operator for the Overnight Shift within the Highway and Sanitation Division. You will operate street sweepers on town streets during overnight hours, perform routine maintenance, and keep logs of equipment usage.

The role supports snow and ice operations and other roadway tasks as needed. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, 1–2 years of heavy equipment experience, MA CDL Class B and MA Hoisting Engineer’s License; a

• 1–2 years of experience operating heavy trucks and equipment (sweepers preferred).
• MA CDL Class B license required.
• MA Hoisting Engineer’s License required.
• Ability to work overnight and independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate street sweepers to clean town streets and roadways during overnight hours.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections of the street sweeper and related equipment.
• Assist with other roadway and sanitation-related tasks as needed.
• Support emergency operations, including snow and ice response, as required.
• Maintain accurate logs of work performed and equipment usage.
