Job summary

The Town of Brookline's Department of Public Works, Highway and Sanitation Division, seeks a Night Street Sweeper Operator for the overnight shift (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM). Responsibilities include operating street sweepers, performing routine maintenance, and logging work and equipment usage.

The ideal candidate holds a High School diploma or equivalent, with MA CDL Class B and MA Hoisting Engineers License, and can work independently overnight, with snow and ice operation experience a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 12 years of experience operating heavy trucks and equipment; experience with sweepers preferred
• Experience with snow and ice operations is a plus
• Valid Massachusetts CDL Class B required
• Valid MA Hoisting Engineers License required
• Strong attention to safety and the ability to work independently overnight

Responsibilities

• Operate street sweepers to clean town streets and roadways during overnight hours
• Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections of the street sweeper and related equipment
• Assist with other roadway and sanitation related tasks as needed
• Support emergency operations including snow and ice response as required
• Maintain accurate logs of work performed and equipment usage
