Under general supervision of the Street Maintenance Crew Lead, performs manual labor tasks including minor street repairs, installation and maintenance of street signs and traffic control devices, filling sandbags, picking up debris on streets and rights‑of‑way, and cleaning drain inlets and flumes. Assists in winter weather operations by applying sand, salt, and other anti‑icing materials before and during weather events.

Most work is performed in an outdoor environment that may include inclement weather.
