The Town of Clayton is seeking applicants for a Street Maintenance Worker in the Public Works Streets Operations Department. The Town employs over 340 full-time staff across various departments including police, fire, and electric utilities, and offers part-time positions in Parks & Recreation, Library, and Cultural Arts.

Employees perform semi-skilled and unskilled manual labor tasks such as constructing, maintaining, and repairing streets, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, storm drains, traffic signs, and more. Tasks include operating light to medium equipment, pouring and finishing concrete, installing storm drains, and assisting in minor repairs. Hazards include working outdoors in extreme weather, exposure to noise, mechanical parts, dust, fumes, and confined spaces. Work is supervised and reviewed for compliance with standards.
