Job summary

The Town of Marana is seeking a Maintenance Associate III to work in the Public Works Department, Street Maintenance Hot Shot/Stormwater Division. This full-time position supports essential community services with early morning shifts at 5100 W Ina Road, Tucson.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, equipment operation, safety compliance, and documenting work orders using asset management software; applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and several years of street maintenance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency plus six months of additional education or training.
• Over three (3) years of street construction/maintenance/landscaping experience or closely related field.
• Valid Arizona Driver License.
• Valid Class A CDL w/Tanker Endorsement and/or AZ Certified Pesticide Applicator or must obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Subject to random testing per DOT (FMCSA) requirements.
• Must complete a pre-employment physical including an audiogram and pass a 50-pound lift test.Must complete both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine skilled maintenance and/or landscaping tasks; uses a variety of hand and power tools; inspects, cleans, and performs routine maintenance work on truck and equipment; identifies and reports mechanical problems.
• Provides service to internal and external customers.
• Performs work duties and operates a variety of trucks and equipment in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures.
• Utilizes asset management software to track and manage work orders. Call, clear, and document Blue Stake.
