Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5 months of experience in equipment operation, manual labor, road maintenance, or landscaping preferred.
• Valid Alabama driver’s license and CDL preferred.
• Ability to operate various equipment and perform manual labor tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs manual work functions and operates equipment for city streets, drainage, parks, and recreation facilities.
• Supports road construction, maintenance, and repair projects.
• Assists with event setup, traffic control, and litter pickup.
• Operates a range of equipment including dump trucks, loaders, backhoes, and mowing gear.
• Transports materials, performs routine maintenance on machinery, and responds to emergencies when needed.
• Maintains safety practices and completes required reports and forms.
