The City of Lenexa is seeking a Street Maintenance Worker I to join the Municipal Services team. This entry‑level role focuses on maintaining Lenexa's street network and related infrastructure, with paid on‑the‑job training and opportunities to earn a CDL.

You will work a stable, 40‑hour week, typically Monday through Friday, with snow events and festivals requiring early notice. The position offers a full benefits package and growth through a structured career track.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or two years in a construction-related field.
• Valid Class A CDL with air brake and tanker endorsements and Work Zone Safety Certification, including Flagger, or obtain within 180 days from hire date.

Responsabilités

• Perform asphalt maintenance and paving, including milling, crack sealing, patching potholes and paving sections of roadways.
• Concrete maintenance including removal, patching, leveling and replacement of sidewalks, curbs and gutters.
• Snow/ice maintenance on city roadways and parking lots.
• Operate trucks, dump trucks, snow removal equipment, rollers, skid steer loaders and other heavy equipment.
• Conduct walk-around inspections, perform basic maintenance and report malfunctions.
