Job summary

The Gfoat Public Works Department seeks a skilled Foreman to assist the Assistant Public Works Director in supervising street and drainage maintenance, operations, and related projects in Wisconsin. You will plan, schedule, and direct crews to meet safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of related supervisory work in street/ drainage maintenance.
• Valid state driver’s license; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules and implements construction, maintenance, operation and construction activities for street maintenance and drainage service.
• Oversees construction and maintenance work to standards; trains, supervises, and assigns daily tasks.
• Teaches technical trades to employees and reports progress to the supervisor.
• Manages materials, supplies and equipment used in maintenance and repair of streets and drainage systems.
• Inspects and ensures proper functioning of street and drainage systems; addresses problems and services.
