Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education required.
• Current, 5-year renewable Florida Educator Certificate; or eligible certification.
• Strong understanding of teaching methods and pedagogy.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of curriculum, laws, and classroom technology.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers grade-level curriculum aligned with Diocesan goals.
• Maintains safe, conducive learning environments and supports small groups.
• Creates detailed lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Leads STREAM/Robotics coaching and middle school team activities.
• Delivers weekly STREAM lessons PK-8 and differentiates instruction by student needs.
• Conducts ongoing assessment and communicates with parents.
• Participates in professional development, meetings, and committees.
• Assists with community partnerships to enrich STREAM opportunities.

Overview

St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic School, established in 1981, offers Pre kindergarten 3 through Grade 8 in a Christ-centered environment. Job Responsibilities

• Develops and administers school grade-level curriculum consistent with Diocesan goals and objectives.
• Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction.
• Develops detailed lesson plans and related instructional materials.
• Provide coaching for STREAM/Robotics middle schoolers.
• Oversee STREAM/Robotics middle school team.
• Conduct and coordinate STREAM lessons once per week to grades PK-8.
• Translates lesson plans into learning experiences; differentiates instruction based on student learning style and needs.
• Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning.
• Continues professional knowledge of developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops, and professional meetings.
• Encourages parental involvement in student education and ensures effective communication to students and parents.
• Develop partnerships with community programs and businesses to integrate STREAM opportunities into the school.
• Actively participates in faculty meetings and committees.
• Participates in activities outside of the classroom involving students.
• Complete any additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Elementary education that is applicable to a teaching assignment.
• Hold a current, 5-year renewable Professional Florida Educator Certificate; a 3-4 year non-renewable Temporary Florida Educator Certificate or be eligible for certification
• Strong understanding and knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy
• Excellent communications skills both written and oral
• Knowledge of school curriculum and concepts
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students
• Proficiency with computer network systems and software programs
• Ability to use technology to enhance student learning
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Undergoing a FDLE Level 2 background check
