Job summary

The IDB Group Internship Program is seeking an active graduate student for a 2-month Intern Consultant role based in Washington, DC. The position focuses on market research, data analysis, and producing sector pitches while gaining exposure to development finance work.

candidates must be enrolled in a relevant master’s or PhD program and able to commit to January 16 through March 15, 2027, full-time. English fluency is required with knowledge of another Bank language a plus.

Qualifications

• Active graduate student in computer science, data science, industrial engineering or similar.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market and sector research across subsectors (agribusiness, mining, tourism, manufacturing, digital infrastructure).
• Develop sector-level pitchbooks and presentation materials for strategic discussions and client engagements.
• Support benchmarking of companies, markets, risks, and opportunities across sectors.
• Prepare concise analytical inputs for internal knowledge-sharing and strategic planning.
• Assist with materials and coordination for internal meetings, sector initiatives, and knowledge-sharing activities.
