Job summary

The IDB Group in Washington, DC invites an active graduate student in Economics to join the Winter Internship Program as an Intern Consultant. Based at our Headquarters, you will learn about development work and corporate management while contributing to research and data analysis.

During a two-month, full-time internship from January 16 to March 15, 2027, you will support the preparation of Caribbean economics periodicals, provide research assistance, and help advance IDB partnership agendas

Qualifications

Active graduate student (Masters or Ph.D.) in Economics or related field.
Fluency in English; working knowledge of another Bank language a plus.
Strong drafting and data analysis skills; ability to present findings.

Responsibilities

Support the preparation of Caribbean economics periodicals, including data gathering, analysis, and drafting.
Provide research support for ongoing and emerging activities, as needed.
Support forthcoming IDB partnership agendas, including the Caribbean Debt Forum, Caribbean Debt Managers Working Group, and IDB UWI Fiscal Research Center Partnership.
Contribute to other opportunities and activities aligned with the candidate’s skills and experience.
