Job summary

Jobtailor in Boston seeks an experienced management consultant to lead multi-stakeholder engagements from data collection to client deliverables. You will manage day-to-day project activities, coordinate with external and internal stakeholders, and synthesize analyses into insights and presentations.

You will mentor junior members, develop thought leadership, and strengthen client relationships with partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of consulting or other relevant professional experience, or an MBA with 3+ years of relevant consulting experience.
• Prior experience in consulting, investment banking, market research, or another relevant analytical role.
• Strong and demonstrated interest in the education sector; knowledge of the sector is a plus.
• Superior analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise mature judgment in dynamic situations.
• Outstanding interpersonal and team-building skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple, competing priorities.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and willingness to take ownership of breakthrough ideas and strategy formulation.
• Self-starter comfortable working in dynamic and evolving environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage workstreams and/or projects from initial data collection and analysis through final client deliverables
• Lead day-to-day project management and communication with external and internal stakeholders
• Structure and perform analyses and conduct primary research
• Synthesize research and analysis into PowerPoint presentations and research briefs
• Present findings and recommendations at team and client meetings
• Develop the Firm by leveraging internal and external networks, building sector-trend knowledge, supporting team recruitment, and developing best practices
• Manage, develop, and mentor junior team members
• Lead client engagements and take responsibility for all phases of an engagement
• Work closely with Partners to manage and extend client relationships
• Contribute to thought leadership, client and practice area development, and core engagement and business process improvements
