Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a Strategy Planning Advisor to support enterprise and organizational strategy with data-driven analysis, workforce and financial insights, and executive decision support. This role partners with HR, Finance, and D&T to translate priorities into actionable plans and timely analytics.

The position requires leading strategic initiatives, developing governance frameworks, and delivering executive-ready materials for senior leadership reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree as stated.
• Five (5) years of IT or business experience including project management, quantitative analysis, forecasting, process improvement, or market/competitive analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic workforce, business, and operational initiatives from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and objectives.
• Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, and governance frameworks to drive successful delivery of cross-functional initiatives.
• Partner with HR, Finance, D&T, and business stakeholders to define strategies, priorities, and roadmaps that support workforce and organizational goals.
• Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, and executive reviews, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and alignment across teams.
• Create executive-level presentations, briefing materials, business cases, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership and governance forums.
• Coordinate and integrate inputs from multiple stakeholders, business units, and regions to ensure alignment of plans, assumptions, priorities, best practices, and deliverables.
• Develop concepts into strategies, including quantitative analyses and recommendations; evaluate plans for strategic fit, feasibility, and profitability prior to presentation to senior management.
• Identify, research, analyze, and make recommendations to support organizational growth objectives.
• Support the development and implementation of standardized project management, planning, and reporting processes that improve execution, transparency, and decision‑making.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Domicile Information

This is a hybrid position located in Memphis TN, Plano TX, or Pittsburg PA. Candidates must live within 50 miles of the campus location. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx campus location several times per week.

Essential Functions

About the Role - Under general supervision, the Strategy Planning Advisor supports enterprise and organizational strategy by delivering data-driven analysis, workforce and financial insights, and executive decision support. This role partners closely with HR, Finance, and Data & Technology (D&T) teams to ensure strategic priorities are translated into actionable plans, aligned to enterprise targets, and supported with accurate, timely analytics.

• Lead and coordinate strategic workforce, business, and operational initiatives from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and objectives.
• Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, and governance frameworks to drive successful delivery of cross-functional initiatives.
• Partner with HR, Finance, D&T, and business stakeholders to define strategies, priorities, and roadmaps that support workforce and organizational goals.
• Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, and executive reviews, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and alignment across teams.
• Create executive-level presentations, briefing materials, business cases, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership and governance forums.
• Conduct environmental scans, organizational positioning analysis, strategic assessments, scenario planning, and other research to identify opportunities, risks, and potential business impacts.
• Coordinate and integrate inputs from multiple stakeholders, business units, and regions to ensure alignment of plans, assumptions, priorities, best practices, and deliverables.
• Develop concepts into strategies, including quantitative analyses and recommendations; evaluate plans for strategic fit, feasibility, and profitability prior to presentation to senior management.
• Identify, research, analyze, and make recommendations to support organizational growth objectives.
• Support the development and implementation of standardized project management, planning, and reporting processes that improve execution, transparency, and decision‑making.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong project management experience, including planning, execution, risk management, stakeholder coordination, and governance.
• Proven ability to develop strategic plans, business cases, operating models, and executive recommendations.
• Advanced presentation development skills with the ability to create compelling executive‑ready PowerPoint materials and storytelling content.
• Strong executive communication and facilitation skills, with experience engaging senior leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced, highly matrixed environment.
• Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear actions and recommendations.
• Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis, forecasting, scenario modeling, and strategic planning.
• Ability to influence decisions, build consensus, and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or business administration or equivalent.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years work experience in information technology or business environment including project management, quantitative analysis, forecasting, process improvement, or market/competitive analysis.
