Job summary

The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation in Los Angeles seeks a Strategy Officer to advance Strategy 2030 across Early Childhood Development, Refugees, and Safe Water initiatives.

You will translate strategy into concrete plans, monitor progress, and guide teams toward evidence-based decisions. As a trusted thought partner, you will support initiative teams, prepare decision-ready materials for the Board, and collaborate with Partnerships and Communications to align funding and learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in organization development, public policy, social welfare, business administration, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience, including 2–5 years in a formal strategy consulting role and 2–5 years in a project management role.
• Experience supporting multi-year strategy implementation, including monitoring progress against plans and facilitating course corrections.
• Demonstrated ability to convey complex information using supporting tables, graphs, and other visual representations.
• Experience working with research and evaluation experts to translate data and evidence to inform strategy implementation and adaptation.
• Ability to translate ideas, data, and information effectively to a variety of audiences, including organizational leadership, the board, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Translate approved Strategy 2030 strategies into implementation plans, milestones, and decision points.
• Serve as a thought partner to Initiative Teams and Learning and Evaluation Officers by asking strategic questions and testing theories of change against evidence.
• Co-design and facilitate working sessions among initiative staff and participants.
• Generate and/or review draft strategy documents and progress memos for senior staff and boards.
• Coordinate with initiative leadership to assess new evidence and adjust implementation as needed.
• Liaise with Partnerships and Communications to align strategy with funding and external outreach.
