Job summary

Google is seeking a leader to head the Learning Innovation and Architecture (LIA) within GBOedu. You will shape the modern learning frontier, define learner journeys, and set the technical architecture powering personalized, AI-driven learning at scale.

You will guide a specialized team responsible for piloting innovative tools and establishing a proficiency and badging ecosystem that links learning to business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in business strategy, learning and development, product/sales operations, management consulting, investment banking, or corporate advisory, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
• 4 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.
• Experience in people management or directly managing teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect the AI-driven roadmap for emerging learning trends, scan the market, launch rapid learner-centric pilots, and collaborate with vendors and engineers to evaluate scalability and transition proven innovations into sustainable global operational standards.
• Drive content management, maintenance, and discovery strategies, including universal tagging taxonomies and global metadata standards, to ensure seamless content discoverability and delivery via learning platforms and recommendation engines.
• Establish the holistic proficiency measurement framework, badging, and accreditation ecosystem for GBO, developing scalable strategies to link learner proficiency, consumption, and performance outcomes directly to business outcomes.
• Serve as the unified point of contact and strategy liaison between learning teams and technical/engineering teams, translating complex operational and programmatic needs into clear Business Scoping Documents and technical roadmaps.
• Organize alignment working sessions, hold transparent communications, and design initiatives that proactively support team morale, psychological safety, and a collaborative, uplifting culture amidst broader organizational shifts.
