Job summary

GEP is seeking a Strategy Manager in Procurement & Supply Chain to lead client engagements remotely from Clark, NJ. You will structure problems, guide analyses and help executives improve profitability and working capital.

The role requires 4–7 years in strategy or management consulting, with strong problem-solving, financial modeling and executive storytelling skills. MBA or advanced degrees are valued and location is remote from Clark, New Jersey.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of relevant experience, including substantial strategy or management consulting and leadership of complex workstreams.
• Strong hypothesis-led problem-solving, financial modeling and executive storytelling.
• Experience in procurement, supply chain or operations strategy and enterprise performance improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree valued.

As a Manager in GEP’s Strategy Consulting team, you willlead client engagements and complex workstreams spanning procurement and supplychain. You will structure business problems, guide analysis and help seniorstakeholders make decisions that improve profitability, working capital andresilience. This role suits a strategy consultant ready to combine rigorousproblem-solving with ownership of client delivery.

What you’ll do

• Lead engagements or major workstreams: frame theproblem, develop hypotheses, define the analytical approach and manage deliveryagainst scope, timelines andquality standards.
• Develop procurement strategies across externalspend, category portfolios, supplier economics, sourcing models and procurementoperating models.
• Assess supply chain opportunities acrosscost-to-serve, inventory, service, complexity and resilience, working withspecialists where deeper technical expertise is needed.
• Build financial models and business cases;evaluate trade-offs, quantify value and prioritize practical transformationinitiatives.
• Translate findings into clear executivepresentations, facilitate client workshops and build alignment aroundrecommendations.
• Lead and coach consultants; coordinate analyticsresources and ensure that evidence supports each recommendation.
• Support proposals and follow-on opportunities,and contribute reusable tools and approaches from client work.

What you’ll bring

• Typically 4-7 years of relevant experience,including substantial strategy or management consulting experience anddemonstrated leadership of complex workstreams or engagements.
• Strong hypothesis-led problem-solving, financialmodeling, commercial judgment and executive storytelling skills.
• Experience in procurement, supply chain,operations strategy or enterprise performance improvement, with depth in atleast one area and readiness to work across both functions.
• Evidence of managing consulting teams, buildingclient relationships and translating analysis into actionable businessdecisions.
• Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA or relevantadvanced degree is valued.

Salary Range: $140,000 – $160,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Additional Compensation: Eligible for a performance-based bonus tied to individual and company performance.
