Job summary

Outschool is expanding how families access and pay for education, seeking a Strategy Director to identify growth opportunities and turn them into revenue. You will analyze markets, competitors, and needs to develop program concepts and a roadmap spanning ESAs, the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit, state funding programs, accredited schools, and tuition-based offerings.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in strategy, growth, or new program development in education or edtech.
• Proven ability to identify market opportunities and bring new offerings to market.
• Strong financial skills: TAM, pricing, unit economics and business cases.
• Understanding of ESAs, public funding, accreditation, and tuition-based education.
• Experience designing or scaling educational offerings and programs.
• Ability to develop partnerships with education authorities and program admins.
• Cross-functional leadership to influence priorities without direct reporting.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial judgment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate growth opportunities across education funding and models.
• Build business cases, financial models, and growth strategies.
• Design new educational programs including accredited schools and tuition programs.
• Expand public funding opportunities and ESA participation.
• Support partnerships with state funding programs and scholarship orgs.
• Develop accreditation and tuition-based program strategies with school leadership.
• Lead cross-functional program development and launches.
• Drive revenue growth with forecasts and milestones.
• Establish strategic roadmaps and present to leadership.
