Job summary

Versigent is seeking a Strategy team member to shape long‑term priorities and drive growth in automotive and technology markets. You will work directly with the CEO and senior leaders to plan and execute strategic initiatives, including market modeling and competitive analysis.

You will develop fact bases, analyze tech trends, and translate insights into executive-ready outputs for meetings with the board and investors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of one year of experience in top-tier consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy or related field within technology or automotive industries.
• Quantitative analysis skills using MS Excel.
• Diverse experience in or around automotive, manufacturing or industrial goods.
• Local resident of Metro Detroit, MI (relocation available).
• Strong communication skills, including ability to develop polished visuals (PowerPoint) and communicate effectively with senior audiences.
• Interest and/or domain expertise in areas relevant to our business (e.g., automotive, wire harnesses).
• Excellent energy, tenacity and resourcefulness in tackling challenging problems.

Responsibilities

• Execute consulting-like projects, working closely with stakeholders in our businesses and corporate functions – including structuring the problem, gathering and analyzing data, generating insight, translating into written output, and delivering executive-level readouts and recommendations.
• Develop fact bases and market models around key product segments and technology trends impacting the business (e.g., ADAS adoption, electric vehicle penetration, transition to software-defined vehicle architectures, transition to 48V architectures).
• Conduct detailed analysis of customers and competitors.
• Shape and drive content creation for executive leadership in key meetings (e.g., Board of Directors, Investor Meetings, GLT meetings).

YOUR ROLE

This is an exciting, high‑impact opportunity to help shape the course of one of the world’s leading automotive harness suppliers. As a member of the Strategy team, you will work closely with the CEO, his direct reports and senior executives in our business to define, plan and execute the company's long‑term strategic priorities. Key topic areas include:

• Growth – Identify and execute levers to drive sustained, profitable growth.
• Diversification – Expand into margin‑accretive, fast‑growing end markets outside automotive and commercial vehicles.
• Profitability – Identify and execute initiatives to maintain and enhance profitability (e.g., supply chain, vertical integration, footprint, automation, efficiency).
• Business foundation – Optimize our global execution capabilities (e.g., human capital, quality & delivery, customer & regional mix, and footprint & efficiency).
