AMERCO Real Estate Company (AREC) is seeking a full-time Entitlement Project Manager to coordinate zoning, land use, and permitting activities for real estate development projects from due diligence to approval. You will work with internal teams, jurisdictions, consultants, and attorneys to identify requirements and keep projects moving forward.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in urban planning or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in land use planning, zoning, entitlements, or real estate development.
• Experience with municipal approval procedures and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate entitlement and permitting projects from due diligence through final approval.
• Coordinate with jurisdictions on zoning, land use, and review processes.
• Research zoning codes, development regulations, and permitting requirements.
• Identify development constraints and approval risks for projects.
• Prepare entitlements documents and variance/conditional use applications.
• Maintain project schedules and coordinate internal teams and consultants.
• Track deadlines, fees, and review comments; manage hearings and conditions of approval.
• Provide regular status updates and identify schedule/regulatory risks.
• Support acquisition and development teams with zoning assessments.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with priorities and deadlines.
