Job summary

BakerRipley is seeking a Business Consultant Special Projects to serve as the primary liaison for employers seeking advanced workforce solutions. The role focuses on engaging employers, identifying needs, and connecting to talent pipelines while leveraging state and federal programs to expand training and upskilling opportunities in the Houston region.

The consultant will design strategies for OJT, Registered Apprenticeship, Pre-Apprenticeship, Work-Based Learning, and other innovative training

Qualifications

• Two years of equivalent experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with employer engagement or workforce programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engage employers to assess needs and tailor workforce solutions.
• Lead design and implementation of OJT, apprenticeships, and other programs.
• Help employers access Skills Development Fund and related grants.
• Collaborate with education providers and workforce boards.
• Promote and advocate for apprenticeship programs.
• Track outcomes and ensure program compliance.
• Research and pilot innovative employer services.
