Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking a Workforce Optimization Scheduler at our Mount Vernon facility to develop and manage labor schedules, aligning staffing with production needs and equipment availability. You’ll work closely with Production, Maintenance, Logistics, and HR to optimize workforce capacity and improve efficiency.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 2–3+ years in manufacturing/scheduling, and strong skills in UKG Scheduler, Excel, and ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 2–3+ years in manufacturing operations, production planning, or scheduling.
• Proficiency with UKG Scheduler or similar WFM system.
• Strong communication, written and verbal.
• Advanced Excel modeling and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle).
• Knowledge of USDA, OSHA, HACCP, and labor regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and long-term labor schedules.
• Align staffing with production requirements and equipment availability.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Logistics, and HR.
• Manage UKG Advanced Scheduler components and ERP/MRP integration.
• Develop labor KPIs and forecast seasonal needs.
• Ensure scheduling complies with safety and labor regulations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
