Job summary

Perdue Farms in Rockingham, NC, is seeking a Workforce Optimization Scheduler to develop and manage labor schedules using UKG Advanced Scheduler, aligning staffing with production needs and equipment availability.

You will collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Logistics and HR to monitor KPIs, adjust staffing, and support continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with USDA/OSHA/HACCP requirements in a fast paced food environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2–3+ years in manufacturing operations, production planning, or scheduling.
• Proficiency with UKG Scheduler or equivalent WFM system.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical capability to support operational efficiency.
• Expertise in production scheduling and workforce management.
• Knowledge of USDA, FDA, HACCP, OSHA, and labor regulation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and long-term labor schedules aligned with production and supply requirements.
• Optimize workforce capacity by aligning staffing with real-time production needs and equipment availability.
• Coordinate with Production, Supply, Maintenance, Logistics, and HR to support workforce optimization.
• Manage UKG Advanced Scheduler components and integrate scheduling data with ERP/MRP platforms.
• Develop and analyze labor KPIs, trends, and seasonal needs to aid decision making.
• Ensure scheduling complies with regulatory and safety requirements while balancing overtime.
