Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking a Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) Manager to lead MPC’s enterprise SWP capability, including methodology, governance, technology enablement, and planning cycles across the enterprise. You will partner with executives and HR to translate workforce insights into clear actions and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities include owning the SWP operating model, leading forums, and guiding senior leaders on decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in HR, business, finance, analytics, engineering, or related field.
• 10 years of progressive experience in strategic workforce planning or related disciplines.
• 5 years of people leadership with high-performing teams.
• Experience leading multi-year forecasting, scenario planning, and workforce modeling.

Responsibilities

• Owns and evolves the SWP methodology, operating model, governance, and planning cycle.
• Translates business priorities into multi-year demand, supply, skills, capacity, and cost scenarios.
• Leads SWP decision forums and provides evidence-based recommendations to leaders.
• Partners with business/HR to address workforce gaps using build/buy/borrow/bot strategies.
• Builds trusted partnerships across the enterprise and aligns leaders around priorities.
• Coaches and develops a team with clear priorities and accountability.
