Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking a Strategic Workforce Planning Manager to lead MPC’s enterprise SWP capability, aligning business strategy with future workforce needs. You will manage the SWP CoE, connect senior leaders to insights, and drive action across the enterprise with measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 10 years of progressive SWP/analytics experience.
• 5 years of people leadership with high-performing teams.
• Experience with multi-year forecasting and scenario planning.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders on workforce decisions.

Responsibilities

• Owns SWP methodology, governance, and enterprise planning cycle.
• Translates business priorities into multi-year demand, supply, and cost scenarios.
• Leads SWP decision forums with evidence-based recommendations.
• Partners to address workforce gaps with build, buy, borrow, and bot strategies.
• Builds partnerships, aligns leaders on actions, investments, and measures.
• Coaches a team and ensures quality, timely results.
• Embeds SWP through tools, processes, and continuous improvement.
• Establishes data, modeling, tech, and reporting standards for scalable planning.
• Owns SWP scorecard and monitors forecast credibility and impact.
