Job summary

Dynamic Specialty Inc (MGA) is seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Underwriter to drive underwriting, growth, and carrier partnerships for the Dynamic Workers’ Compensation program. You will evaluate risks, contribute to guideline development, and work closely with the tech team to enhance underwriting tools.

The role requires 5+ years in WC underwriting, strong industry relationships, and a tech-forward mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Workers’ Compensation underwriting experience.
• Established carrier and industry relationships within the Workers’ Compensation market.
• Proven ability to develop new market and carrier opportunities.
• Strong understanding of Workers’ Compensation underwriting, risk selection, and pricing.
• Tech-forward, with experience working alongside technology/development teams.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Identify, pursue, and establish new Workers’ Compensation carrier relationships and appointments.
• Leverage existing industry relationships to expand Dynamic’s Workers’ Compensation market presence.
• Underwrite and evaluate Workers’ Compensation risks and submissions in accordance with guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Help develop underwriting guidelines, appetite, and processes for the Workers’ Compensation line of business.
• Partner with Dynamic’s technology/development team to build and improve underwriting tools and automation.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and testing of new system features and functionality.
• Provide underwriting expertise and feedback to ensure technology solutions meet business needs.
• Identify opportunities to grow the Workers’ Compensation book while maintaining underwriting discipline.
