Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a seasoned California Workers' Compensation Examiner to adjudicate complex claims and uphold service levels for diverse clients. In a fast-paced environment, you will analyze claims, gather information, and determine exposure to reach timely resolutions while maintaining strong client partnerships.

You will leverage Sedgwick’s resources and guidelines, manage a reasonable caseload, and contribute to a well‑structured intake environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Workers Compensation claims on behalf of clients to determine benefits due and adjudicate within service expectations.
• Develop and implement action plans to resolve claims timely after gathering information and assessing exposure.
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority and communicate claim activity to claimants and clients.
• Report claims to excess carriers and respond to directions promptly and professionally.
