Job summary

Sedgwick, a global leader in claims management, is seeking a Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner for roles in San Diego or Roseville, CA. The ideal candidate will analyze complex claims and determine benefits while navigating litigation and rehabilitation processes.

You will adjudicate high-exposure claims, negotiate settlements, and collaborate with a broad network of experts to deliver client-focused solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a relevant field.
• Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent.
• California jurisdictional knowledge required; SIP certification to be obtained within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and processes complex workers' compensation claims to determine exposure and manage resolutions.
• Negotiates settlements within designated authority.
• Calculates and assigns reserves, ensuring adequacy throughout the life of the claim.
• Prepares necessary state filings within statutory limits and ensures proper documentation.
• Coordinates vendor referrals for investigation and/or litigation management.
• Works to reduce overall cost of claims for clients.
