Job summary

Ontic is seeking a Work Transfer Specialist to lead strategic supplier and manufacturing transfers from planning through production stabilization. You will work with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Procurement to ensure continuity of supply and minimal disruption, while complying with AS9100 and ITAR/EAR standards.

The role requires 3–7 years in project management or related manufacturing, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• 3–7 years in project management, supply chain, or related manufacturing.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional transfers in aerospace preferred.
• Strong planning, risk mitigation, and KPI tracking.
• Familiarity with manufacturing documentation and QA processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead work transfer projects from initiation to production stabilization.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and risks.
• Coordinate supplier-to-supplier and site-to-site transfers with continuity of supply.
• Serve as cross-functional liaison across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Procurement.
• Manage timelines, accountability, and milestone delivery across stakeholders.
• Coordinate readiness activities: data reviews, tooling transfers, inventory planning, qualification.
• Support First Article Inspection, validation, and production approvals.
• Ensure transfer activities meet customer, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Capture lessons learned to improve processes and governance.
• Travel to supplier and Ontic locations as required (~30%).
