Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced sourcing professional to lead work transfers for aerospace components. You will drive supplier development, negotiate pricing, and manage complex machine parts with a focus on cost, quality, and delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years experience in a sourcing environment.
• 7+ years in a sourcing role with negotiation involvement.
• Experience with complex aerospace machine components and processes.
• Established relationships with domestic aerospace suppliers.
• Travel readiness for 25–30% travel.
• US work authorization; ITAR considerations where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment of work transfers using automated transfer tools, including Project Risk Assessments, Project Planning, and Buffer Stock Management.
• Maintain understanding of material specifications, processing, and treatment requirements related to work transfers.
• Serve as site focal point for resolving work transfer checklist questions and issues.
• Maintain a program-level work transfer tracker covering all parts in the work transfer.
• Ensure compliance with industry-leading standards, company policies, and ethical business practices.
• Leverage supplier relationships and develop new suppliers across multiple regions to optimize cost and delivery.
