Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead Workforce Identity & Access Management (WIAM) and drive the strategy, governance, and execution of the Bank's IAM capabilities. This role oversees IdP platforms, access lifecycle, PAM, secrets management, and regulatory compliance to protect digital assets while enabling secure growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 9 years' relevant work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 13 years' higher education and/or work experience.
• Demonstrated expert knowledge of Cybersecurity Identity & Access Management principles.
• Minimum of 8 years' work experience in/with the specific cybersecurity function.
• Minimum 3 years' managerial experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the WIAM strategy and roadmap.
• Provide executive leadership for IdP engineering capabilities, including access provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Drive modernization and automation of identity services to reduce risk and improve efficiency.
• Expand centralized identity governance and enterprise onboarding/automation initiatives.
• Oversee IdP platforms and services and integration with IAM processes (JML, certifications, entitlement governance).
• Provide strategic leadership for Privileged Access Management platforms and governance.
• Ensure least privilege, segregation of duties, and RBAC across privileged/non-privileged access.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to strengthen enterprise identity controls and security-by-design practices.
• Develop and monitor KRIs, KPIs, audit findings, and control effectiveness metrics.
• Oversee centralized and decentralized IAM control frameworks and policy application.
• Collaborate to evaluate emerging identity security technologies aligning with strategic objectives.
