Job summary

Ohio Logistics in Ohio seeks a General Manager to direct daily warehouse operations, drive labor productivity, quality control and safety. You will lead office managers and senior supervisors, recruit and develop teams, and align objectives with the VP of Midwest Operations.

Qualifications

• Above average communication skills in spoken and written form.
• Basic computer skills with Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Industry experience or knowledge in distribution/logistics.
• Ability to lead and direct departmental staff.
• Flexibility to work with varying circumstances.
• Ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, schedule, coach and discipline associates.
• Communicate job expectations and performance reviews.
• Oversee systems, processes and infrastructure; seek improvements.
• Support strategic plans; implement production, quality and service standards.
• Develop receiving, storage, inventory management and shipping processes.
• Analyze workflow, space needs and equipment layouts; implement changes.
• Ensure warehouse operations meet KPIs: on-time delivery, accuracy, inventory turnover.
• Maintain a safe, healthy work environment and OSHA compliance.
• Provide leadership to managers and supervisors across departments.
• Serve as main contact for customer issues related to equipment quality or service.
