Job summary

Findlay Tall Timbers Distribution Center is seeking a General Manager to direct daily warehouse operations, leading labor, productivity, quality control and safety programs in alignment with corporate directives.

The GM will report to the VP of Midwest Operations and supervise office managers and senior supervisors. Responsibilities include policy development, KPI oversight, inventory management, and cross-functional collaboration to improve customer service and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Above-average communication skills, oral and written.
• Basic computer skills: Word, Outlook, Excel.
• Experience with a WMS system.
• Industry experience/knowledge.
• Ability to provide administrative and professional leadership and direction.
• Flexibility to work with varying circumstances.
• Ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel and discipline associates.
• Communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, appraise and review contributions.
• Oversee systems, processes and infrastructure; identify improvements.
• Contribute to strategic plans; implement standards for production, quality and customer service.
• Develop policies and procedures; manage receiving, storage, inventory and shipping.
• Analyze workflow, space, and equipment layout; implement changes.
• Ensure maximum efficiency and KPIs (on-time delivery, accuracy, turnover).
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment and compliance with regulations.
• Provide leadership to department managers and supervisors.
• Serve as primary contact for customer issues related to equipment quality or on-site incidents.
• Communicate customer issues to operations and improve customer experience.
• Collaborate with Corporate Operations to implement policies and systems.
• Analyze inventory; optimize purchasing and reduce sub-rental costs.
• Analyze financial performance; prepare reports and forecasts for senior management.
• Coordinate with safety to ensure OSHA compliance.
