Job summary

DSV - Global transport and logistics in Houston is seeking a Warehouse Operator Specialist, Wave Planner to manage freight flow and optimize order fulfillment. The role focuses on grouping, sequencing, and releasing orders to meet carrier departure schedules.

You will analyze warehouse orders with the WMS, plan daily waves, coordinate with multiple teams, and monitor key metrics like throughput and on-time shipments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in supply chain capacity planning and wave planning; 3 years preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Excel; strong WMS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, release, and monitor warehouse orders using the WMS.
• Communicate changes in the scheduled network due to contingencies.
• Plan and release daily warehouse waves based on order volume, priorities, carrier schedules, and capacity.
• Coordinate with warehouse supervisors, inventory teams, picking, packing, shipping, and transportation departments.
• Track key operational metrics such as order volume, productivity, backlog, throughput, and on-time shipment performance.
• Identify bottlenecks and proactively communicate issues that could affect customer orders or shipping deadlines.
