Job summary

Brookfield Properties in Houston is seeking a VP of Operations to provide senior, portfolio-wide leadership for institutional multifamily assets. You will shape operating cadence, guide field execution across regions, and coordinate with ownership and asset management on capital planning, transactions, and strategy.

The role requires 8–10+ years of multifamily leadership, MBA/CPM preferred, and solid experience with LIHTC/HUD regulatory programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 8–10+ years of multifamily operations leadership with multi-region oversight and P&L ownership.
• CPM preferred; affordable/regulated housing compliance experience helpful (LIHTC, HUD/Section 8, tax credits).

Responsibilities

• Lead senior multi-region operations across an institutional multifamily portfolio.
• Set portfolio-wide operating strategy, standards, and execution expectations.
• Oversee budgets, major contracts, and multi-region vendor relationships.
• Partner with ownership, asset management, and investment stakeholders on business plans.
• Direct Regional Directors; develop depth and succession in field leadership.
• Review performance reports and present risks and recommendations to senior leadership.
