Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services partners with a growing organization to add a Vice President of Finance to its leadership team in Scottsdale, AZ. This is a highly strategic role reporting to the CEO and partnering with the senior leadership to drive financial strategy and long-term growth.

The VP will lead FP&A, budgeting and forecasting, KPI management, cash flow planning, board reporting, M&A support, and cross‑functional decision support, translating financial data into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
• Strong FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic finance experience.
• Experience supporting executive leadership, boards, and PE stakeholders.
• M&A, transaction advisory, or integration experience preferred.
• Professional services, consulting, or PE-backed company experience is required.
• CPA is required.

I’m partnering with a growing organization that is looking to add a Vice President of Finance to its leadership team.

This is a highly strategic role for a finance executive who enjoys partnering closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to drive financial strategy, business performance, profitability, and long-term growth. The VP of Finance will lead key areas including FP&A, budgeting and forecasting, KPI management, cash flow planning, board reporting, M&A support, and cross-functional decision support.

The ideal candidate will bring strong business acumen, executive presence, and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights that help guide strategic decisions. This person will serve as a trusted advisor across the organization and play a key role in improving visibility, accountability, and overall business performance.

Ideal background includes:

• 12+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
• Strong FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic finance experience
• Experience supporting executive leadership, boards, and/or PE stakeholders
• M&A, transaction advisory, or integration experience preferred
• Professional services, consulting, or PE-backed company experience is required.
• CPA is required
• Salary range between $235k-$285k DOE
• This role is 5 days onsite in Scottsdale, AZ

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
