Framework IT is seeking a Strategic Technology Advisor (vCIO) in Chicago, offering hybrid/remote work. You will partner with C-suite leaders to craft technology roadmaps, budgets and security strategies, owning satisfaction and long-term relationships with about 25 managed clients.

This advisory role focuses on outcomes over quotas and requires executive‑level communication and strategic influence. The role blends fractional CIO leadership with strategic account management, including

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of IT experience with at least 3 years in a client‑facing vCIO or strategic account management role.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication with executive presence; translate technical concepts into business language.
• Proven track record with C‑suite stakeholders and leading QBRs/strategic planning sessions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic partner for a client portfolio, aligning IT with business goals.
• Build and present technology roadmaps showing ROI and value of IT investments.
• Lead planning sessions with executives to align IT initiatives with outcomes.
• Identify gaps through security, cloud, and risk assessments and turn findings into budgets and recommendations.
• Advise on infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, compliance, and digital transformation; stay ahead of trends.
