Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines in Nevada seeks a Senior Underground Mine Engineer to oversee mine design, schedules, and LOM planning in a hybrid role (75% site, 25% central). You will guide technical integrity and growth initiatives across multiple mine sites.

The role emphasizes safety leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering the Life of Mine plan with sustainable, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering or related field required
• 5–8 years mine engineering experience preferred with strong mine planning, design and project management
• Excellent safety record and ability to demonstrate safety leadership
• Deep understanding of mine operations and design principles with strong LOM planning and infrastructure management
• Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale projects and lead cross-functional teams
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to work underground in varied climatic conditions for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Ensure Technical Excellence: oversee forecasts and LOM plans with technical rigor
• Develop and Manage LOM Technical Roadmap: identify gaps and develop scopes/studies for LOM delivery
• Drive Growth Projects: lead technical initiatives for LOM growth projects
• Best Practice Implementation: drive technical improvements and share best practices across sites
• Utilize SME Resources: engage subject matter experts to address challenges
• Other duties as assigned
