Job summary

Careermine is seeking a Senior Mine Engineer for a Nevada site to lead mine planning, design, and optimization, ensuring safe, cost-effective operations and alignment with strategic mine objectives.

You will design open pit and underground layouts, supervise engineers, mentor staff, manage budgets, and implement planning software while maintaining regulatory and safety standards at a remote Nevada site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering is required.
• PE license or ability to obtain in Nevada preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of mining experience with planning & operations exposure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support mine designs and plans for restart of mining operations.
• Design and optimize open pit and underground layouts (haul roads, ramps, stopes, sequencing).
• Ensure plans comply with safety, regulatory, and environmental guidelines.
• Collaborate with exploration, operations, permitting and site teams to align plans.
