Job summary

Selby Jennings seeks a Treasury Director to lead liquidity management, custody and trust accounts, and collateral management within a technology-driven insurance platform in Durham, NC.

You will shape treasury strategy, oversee operations governance, and partner with Finance, Risk, Legal, and external banks to optimize cash and funding while ensuring controls and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of treasury experience with custody/trust, liquidity management, and operations.
• Experience in insurance, asset management, or regulated environments.
• Proven ability to manage banking counterparties and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Leadership experience driving initiatives across multiple business units.
• Strong knowledge of treasury regulations, risk management, and controls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with executive-level audiences.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office and treasury systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead treasury operations across custody accounts, trust accounts, banking relationships, and cash management activities.
• Manage daily liquidity, cash positioning, and liquidity forecasting for funding and deployment.
• Oversee custody banking, trust structures, investment operations support, and asset servicing.
• Direct collateral and margin monitoring, including settlement and derivatives operations.
• Partner with custodians, trustees, banks, and counterparties to optimize operations.
• Support implementation and optimization of Treasury Management Systems and automation.
• Monitor FHLB membership, pledged collateral, borrowing capacity, and funding resources.
• Assist with board, regulatory, rating agency, and management reporting on liquidity/treasury.
• Manage credit facilities, funding programs, and capital structure initiatives.
• Strengthen treasury controls, governance, segregation of duties, and risk practices.
• Identify process improvements and scalable treasury solutions.
