Job summary

RXO is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead transportation procurement, source carriers, run bids, and select partners. You will develop strategies, onboard carriers, and negotiate rates to support growth for RXO across North America.

The role emphasizes collaboration with sales, customer, and account teams to meet service and cost targets, while driving cost-saving initiatives and compliant sourcing strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
• 5 years of carrier procurement experience with emphasis on rate negotiations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Access).

Responsibilities

• Understand customer logistics needs via calls and sales interactions.
• Set strategy around mode buying, develop initiatives and processes.
• Support growth of new and existing customers.
• Collaborate with Customer and Account Management to meet service and cost targets.
• Onboard carriers expanding service offerings (international, temp control, etc).
• Determine carrier rates and KPIs; analyze rates and awards accordingly.
• Prepare bid packages for carriers with profiles and targets.
• Recommend cost-saving strategies benefiting customers and carriers.
• Analyze freight profiles to develop pricing approaches and proposals.
• Communicate negotiation results to internal teams and customers.
