Job summary

The City of St. Peters is seeking an experienced municipal leader to direct and coordinate the Transportation and Facilities Services Group (TFS).

This role provides strategic leadership over transportation and facilities infrastructure, including operations, maintenance, grant administration, and capital improvement planning. Reporting to the City Administrator, you will develop long-range plans, manage resources and budgets, guide asset management, and ensure safe, efficient infrastructure for

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a related field and five years of municipal/engineering/public works/infrastructure management experience with supervisory responsibility.
• Knowledge of budgeting and financial administration.
• Knowledge of contract preparation and procurement.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and asset management principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative leadership and oversight for the Transportation and Facilities Services Group and its work units.
• Lead staff development, including hiring recommendations, training, coaching, scheduling, performance evaluation, and disciplinary recommendations.
• Develop and manage the Group's operating budget, monitor expenditures, and ensure contracts comply with City policies and laws.
• Establish administrative policies, maintenance programs, staffing plans, schedules, and priorities.
• Oversee operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement of city transportation assets and facilities infrastructure.
