Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp is seeking a qualified professional to support siting and permitting for transmission and substations across the FE Service Territory. The role reports to the Supervisor, Transmission Siting and partners with Legal, Real Estate, Environmental, Engineering and Government Affairs.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 3–6 years of utility experience, and strong communication skills for regulatory testimony and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in land use planning, physical science or a closely related field.
• 3–6 years of related utility industry experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for regulatory filings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee route studies and regulatory filing documents.
• Advise Project Management on regulatory requirements, timeframes and costs.
• Coordinate with Government Affairs for communications with state/local governments.
• Coordinate with Environmental Department for environmental permitting.
• Assist in land acquisition and easement processes.
• Collaborate with outside firms and internal FE departments to meet deadlines.
