LUZCO Technologies LLC is seeking a Distribution Portfolio Engineer to guide utility clients through strategic capital investments for grid reliability and growth. You will bridge engineering, planning, and client strategy to shape multi‑year programs and optimize portfolio value.

You’ll collaborate across engineering, operations, and project management, with opportunities to travel to client sites. A background in utility planning and strong communication are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• 3+ years of experience in utility planning, transmission, distribution, or substation engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain long‑range capital investment portfolios for utility clients.
• Partner with engineering, operations, project management, and client teams to identify needs.
• Support the development and execution of multi‑year capital investment plans.
• Evaluate project priorities, funding requirements, schedules, risks, and portfolio impacts.
• Identify opportunities to optimize sequencing, efficiency, and value of investments.
• Assist in developing project scopes, schedules, cost estimates, and funding strategies.
• Review data to support planning and investment decisions.
• Analyze portfolio data to identify trends, risks, gaps, and opportunities.
• Support equipment planning, including transformer and distribution asset planning.
• Coordinate across teams to address dependencies and execution challenges.
• Contribute to process improvement, automation, and governance best practices.
• Develop standards, templates, and governance processes for consistency.
• Provide training and knowledge sharing as new planning tools are implemented.
• Occasional travel to client sites and utility facilities.
