Job summary

FirstEnergy in Ohio is seeking a Transmission Planning Program Manager to lead early-stage transmission projects and collaborate with internal teams and customers to align load growth, reliability needs, and strategic objectives with long-term transmission plans.

You will manage scope, costs, schedules, risks, and assumptions for Energize365 and related Program portfolios, ensuring clear communication and readiness for capital portfolio progression.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; ABET accreditation preferred.
• 3–5 years of program management or project management experience for mid level; 8+ years for senior levels.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Transmission Planning’s single point of contact for large-load customers, aligning needs and expectations.
• Coordinate technical discussions between customers, Transmission Planning, and internal stakeholders.
• Facilitate development of near-term and long-term transmission plans to meet load growth and reliability needs.
• Oversee evaluation of alternative system configurations and high-level project justifications.
• Define early-stage project objectives, scope, risks, and conceptual cost ranges.
