Job summary

The City of Laguna Beach is seeking a dynamic Transit and Parking Manager to lead the operations of the Trolley, Laguna Local and parking programs within the Transit and Parking Division. This leadership role reports to the Transit and Community Services Director and focuses on service delivery, planning and fiscal responsibility.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in transit and parking management, budget administration, and contract negotiation, with a track record of customer service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Public Administration.
• Minimum five years' experience in transit/parking administration.
• At least two years of supervisory experience.
• California driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations of the City’s Transit and Parking Divisions, including the Trolley, Laguna Local, and parking programs.
• Develop division goals, policies, and strategies aligned with City priorities.
• Manage division budget, contracts, vendors, grants, and related financial resources.
• Coordinate parking operations including meters, enforcement, revenue collection, maintenance.
• Collaborate on transit services to improve accessibility, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Lead division staff, set performance expectations, and foster accountability.
• Prepare reports and presentations for City management and City Council.
