Job summary

The CYP T&C Specialist at Commander, Navy Installations Command develops and delivers a comprehensive training program for staff who work with children and youth across Navy CYP, ensuring age-appropriate activities.

You will coordinate with subject matter experts, tailor training plans, monitor progress toward DoD certification and national accreditation, and support educators through continuing education and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in child development or early childhood education and three years of full time experience working with children and/or youth.
• A copy of your official college transcripts showing degree awarded/conferred must be submitted when applying.

Responsibilities

• Lead in achieving and maintaining DoD certification and national accreditation or equivalent.
• Develops, coordinates, and delivers a comprehensive training program to expand knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies of staff with children and youth in Navy CYP.
• Identifies ongoing training needs by evaluating strengths and challenges and tailors training plans to meet learner needs.
• Coordinates with CYP Directors to establish training plans and ensure required learning opportunities are scheduled and resources are available.
• Provides training to CYP employees to ensure compliance with fire, safety, and sanitation rules and regulations and maintains training records.
